about the conference
This one-day BSA-sponsored postgraduate conference aims to provide the opportunity for postgraduate students to showcase their research and engage in scholarly debate that considers the sociological aspects of young people’s activism and resistance.
By combining presentations of current research from postgraduate students with contributions from both established academics and active campaigners, it will serve as a space for reflection on recent events and consideration of future directions for young people’s political mobilisation and participation as well as celebrating the vibrancy and diversity of young people's activism.
The day will culminate with a charity art exhibition showcasing original works by young artists reflecting on the theme of the conference. Artworks will be available to purchase, with proceeds going to two charities.
Registration Fees
Registration costs £10 for BSA members and £25 for non-BSA members.
Bursaries are available to cover childcare costs for anyone who would struggle to attend otherwise. If you would like to apply for a bursary please contact the organisers.
